Space Bar

Guide a wide-eyed robot through a plethora of different stages, using a bar to bounce back balls and enemies alike!

Space Bar combines the core mechanics of arcade-styled games with platformer elements to deliver a fun gameplay experience.

The game features colorful digitally drawn images as well as charming chiptune music and sound effects. Different game mechanics such as power-ups, and unique player interactions with balls and enemies help to keep gameplay fresh and exciting. Different bars can also be selected per playthrough, allowing for an additional layer of replayability.

Space Bar is a project that was first created back in GameMaker 8.1. For a video game design course, I decided to revamp the project with new visuals and code. The old version of the project created back in GameMaker 8.1 is the reward for completing the game.
